This is a very cynical point of view. I've read similar things, like America is evil because of racism, and nothing good can ever be done to atone for it. Yes, there were bad things going on then, but that doesn't negate the good that was done in the war.

Corporations had nothing to do with the US entering the war what-so-ever. The reason we entered WWII was because of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Period. The Japanese attacked the US because we threatened their regional supremacy and, along with our allies, threatened the source of their resources. In Europe, we'd already been interfering by giving supplies to the Allies.
The slaughter of the Jews was never even used as a post-war justification. It's just a very fortunate result.

Please, as if the US ever gave a damn about any of those. Its Money. check out the no bid contracts for halliburton, the continued profits of the oil companies and arms manufacturers. and thanks to people that believe there are wars that dont have anything to do with money, republicans get voted back in 2004, increasing their strangle hold. If it wasnt for the 2006 elections i may have lost hope

The reasoning behind the Iraq war was the same as that as the Afghan war: combating terrorism. Of course, in Iraq's case there were actually quite a few reasons given, but combating terrorism was the main one. This whole "no blood for oil" crap is just that: crap.
