Ah yes, 3Dmark06 and oblivion are teh only ones that actually beat the HD4870 consistently by a fair margin, the witcher and assaisn creeds show only one resolutin were the HD3870X2 beat the HD4870 by about1fps or less:/
Driver optimisation should remove any Advantage that the HD3870X2 has over the HD4870 in all titles but oblivion till the HD4870 is available in 1Gig flavours
Overclocking it too will just make it even more dominant
