Btw, for anyone wanting to get this classic game.. you can contact the guys at A-Sharp and just ask to have a copy burned for you for $20 bucks plus shipping.

Basically, yes this game is text with pictures. But each time you play it your game experience could be pretty different. The first time I played.. in the first year of my campaign a horde of barbarian women came into my village and kidnapped a bunch of men. The men eventually returned, I didn't press on the reasoning behind what happened to them (multiple options), and I let it go. Eventually, the women came back and gave them a bunch of kids, the kids from the dudes.. needless to say their wives weren't happy.

It's basically.. a...

A) Choose your own adventure (sort of, but more deep).
B) Conquest, if you want you can smear other tribes.
C) Story driven, your tribes story.
D) You try to unite the tribes under your banner to become King.
E) There's short/long term campaigns.
F) City builder, it's rough and simple but has a lot of options (ramparts, spiked walls, trenches, etc.. etc)
G) Epic Quests... you don't go on these quests yourselves, but you send one of your warriors to do so. But, the kicker is.. that you must prepare this warrior.. otherwise he/she will die.

This is one of those games that there isn't any other out there of this type and gameplay, it's a very unique experience.

Zapp: You see, Killbots have a preset kill limit. Knowing their weakness, I sent wave after wave of my own men at them, until they reached their limit and shutdown. Kif, show them the medal I won. [Kif sighs and points to a medal on Zapp's uniform.]
