Well, I've always sorta pictured people's websites as a similar thing to a person's house. If you go into someone's house, and they ask to take off your shoes before entering, going in without doing so would be kinda rude. I guess the same thing could be said about site rules, some are more strict, some less so.. I guess in the end it's a person's choice to go to into that house and take off the shoes, or keep them on and stay outside.
