chkdsk /r should work. IF IT DOES...that means you need to back up your data and get yourself a new hard drive soon. chkdsk /r is generally not a "permanent fix all end all" solution. It is normally used to gimp you along, get you booted to windows, so you can back up your data and get a new hard drive in there.
