Exact same parts (case, CPU, HDD, GPU, OS, optical drives, & mobo) or superior (RAM & PSU) from Newegg, will run you $1082.43 shipped to San Antonio, TX. With $90 in mail in rebates refunded afterwards for a net cost of $992.43. The pre-built is $1100 after shipping and mail in rebates.
The two components that I changed from the pre-built list are the RAM & PSU. The pre-built lists memory standard as DDR2 800. Phenom processors are designed to run on DDR2 1066 memory standard. The NZXT 800w PSU they show as part of the pre-built unit does not feature active PFC. For that reason, I would not recommend using it. Used PCP&C Silencer 750w unit instead and 4Gb (2x2Gb) of OCZ Platinum DDR2 1066 RAM.
So essentially you can build the exact same system (with better power and correct memory standard) for ~$100 less.
