i heard a rumor that Microsoft is making PC game developers add compatibility with the Xbox controller if they want the "Games for Windows" designation on their game. sounds pretty in-character for microsoft.

ive played Gears of War and Oblivion on the Xbox. the controller isnt bad, but the analog stick is MUCH slower for targetting and changing camera angles than a mouse would be. aside from that though, it's probably a bit easier and more comfortable in terms of using abilities and what-not, provided you don't run into limitations with the number of buttons available.
