Heh that's really very, very unfair. I didn't like the look of it either, but I gave it a chance and read up on it. I could have wrote it off, but I'm glad I kept an open mind. Can't judge a book by it's cover. It's much more like DAoC than it is like WoW, as they are trying to refine the RvR combat that WoW tried to lamely rip off and failed. The fact that WoW stole thier art style from Warhammer and all that business means nothing. Gameplay > graphics in any case. (Completely meaningless link to
Penny Arcade ).
The WAR crowd isn't drawing from a bnet Diablo kids fan base like WoW did. It's drawing from Warhammer tabletop players and DAoC fans... both of which are a more mature demographic than WoW is.
On top of that, I think many of us have played WoW. It wasn't the game for me, but to say it's 90% full of kids is incorrect. It's a simplistic game, and it draws in alot of casual first time MMORPG players, farmers, and bnet kids... but I personally know of alot of mature people who still play it.
So anyway, hate the game, never play it, but.... the comments you're making about a game you don't seem to know much about is unreasonable. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. That guy needs to work in an office, not on a freeway in Virginia... that much I agree with.
