Firestarter, Needful Things, The Tipping Point, Blink
The tipping point and blink are both really good books that make you think. The tipping point is about social economics in a free market economy, really interesting. Moreso than I make it sound lol. Blink is about the preliminary thoughts in that split second of a first impression. Also a really good read. Firestarter and Needful things of course, Stephen King.
And I'm surprised noone mentioned LotR yet. I've read the series enough to be considered a nerd, also the Chronicles of Narnia. Used to read those when I was a kid.
Alot of the ones mentioned above are good as well, Count de Monte Cristo, Lord of the Flies was.....weird, speaking of books I had to read in school, To Kill a Mockingbird was a decent read, that and Hounder. The Iliad, you must be a masochist. Yes I've read it, if you can get through the homeric similies and word choice it's an O.K. read, but in real form it's hard. The Odyssey > The Iliad by far. The Invisible Man was a really good read. Malcolm X was good too. I've read a lot of books, a lot to remember, haha.
I'd also say I'm a bit of a Shakespeare buff. I used to read his plays in middle school for fun, lol. Hamlet was good, Romeo and Juliet of course, my favorite was Macbeth. King Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest was really good. Twelfth Night, Merchant of Venice was good too, name a Shakespeare play, I've probably read it.
