I'm self taught, but studied music at Uni - Mainly the drums & guitar, also played bass, keyboards in bands and a variety of lil 'toy' instruments like tin whistle, ocarina etc..

Depends how good you are
.. If you're playing it regularly on expert, you may as well pick up the real guitar - not the same by any means, but you have proven dexterity and rhythm imo... great game
