I'd never thought of shading in a pattern... but then again I suppose I did. I tend to put something underneath, like fabric or even carpet. Same idea.

ok, yeah, it is supposed to be a rock wall, but you are not the only one who thought it was part of the face (which it kind of is, the face was meant to be like a statue that had fallen, but turned out more 'fleshy')

Hmm... okay, now i'm curious what the story is. Because I interpreted something VERY different. Statue never even crossed my mind. Now that you say it, I totally see it. I just didn't think to look, ya know?
