Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R. Martin)

Just finished the third book, Storm of Swords, and I have to say, it's pretty amazing if you don't mind terrible terrible things happening to all your favorite characters. Really fantastic character development, definitely check it out.

I've picked up the first book of this series *it's on my to read list* and I'm glad that this writer isn't afraid to kill off "main" characters. Most long drawn out series the heroes escape by the skin of their teeth *like in wheel of time*. I'm definatley looking foward to starting this series.

There making a tv series base of ice and fire, i cant remember who is making it but its coming. The books are insane but so enjoy them.

So I've given up on the Wheel of Time series *later rather than sooner I'm afraid* and started reading the first book in ASOIF. Man, I've certainly been missing out. What a great start to a hopefully enjoyful series. I'm only about 400 pages into it and I'm loving it.

Welcome to the world of writing that doesn't suck, Dunwolf!! haha - yeah, ASOFI is perhaps the best series of books I have ever read, and I have read so many books, both fantasy and non-fantasy, it should be outlawed!

The fifth book is a year late, Martin is currently rewriting it.

Awesome books though, tore through them at a couple of days a peice and even bought the RPG (sad it is no longer being made).

The only rough part of the series is the massive amount of characters to remember! That and you live in fear about your favorite guys dying, since Martin pulls no punches.

Yay...got books 2-4 in today! I'm almost finished up reading Day Watch *the sequel to Night Watch...you people need to read those books too* and plan to start on them soon. Blah...summer classes start soon so I'll have to suck it up and read what I can this week before Tuesday

I have the collectors edition of that RPG on my shelf, the one that is $99 with 2 different systems in it. It's true, it's no longer being made but some other company I *think* is picking it up.
