Back when I was in high school this was a required book to read so naturally...I didn't read it *funny story, I told the teacher that I wasn't going to read it and I made the highest test scores in the class* BUT since then I've read it and it's a great book. I also enjoy Equilibrium for the movie-esq 1984 feeling.

Anyway... I've never finished 1984. I've tried to read it twice but grow bored about a third of the way in. I know it has a good point and a great ending but it just seemed really dull and hoaky to me. P.S. What kind of idiots were in your class? Haha :P

Personally, I'm not a big fan of it. Then again, I didn't care for Brave New World either; however, they both have fantastic meanings.
