Been a rough couple of years for Fantasy. Robert Jordan and David Gemmell dying.

My condolences go out to both of thier families.

Well, the series that refused to end will now never be finished because the author died after promising to write the very last book. It's kind of ironic.

The series will end, he told the skeleton of the last book to his close family members, and he was already in the middle of the book. His family members stated that they would finish the series as best as they could, but this may not happen. At the very least the series will end, even if they just publicly state the plot line.

The series will end. His wife has been a ghost writer on the last few books with him, so it isn't like she has no writing experience or knowledge of the series. I read an article about it whwen he first passed where it said she was going to finish off the series. This was going to be the last book anyway, and if I remember correctly he was at least halfway through with the skeleton all laid out. Sorry but at 7 am I'm too lazy to go find the article

I suppose its as best as they could do under the circumstances. I'll be buying it, even if its not 100% as good as the previous, I need closure!

I'll be buying it because it's like a tribute to him, regardless of anything wrong with it, I will read it from front to back, and I will thank him for leaving this legacy of a story. The series was a great one, and anyone who has ever read his books should pick this one up, he deserved that much.

Resistance got me into these books about a week ago. I'm already on book three. Every day when I get home from work, I have to pick up my book and keep reading haha. The fight scenes in these books are bad ass. I just wish Rand would stop being such a bitch when it comes to Saidin. I want to see him wipe out an entire legion of Darkfriends more than anything.

I liked the books, very well written. My only issue is that there was too many characters (POV's) in the books after a while.
