Games Workshop has said that these chapters have been left mysterious so that players could create their own chapters. However there was one thing.
In a novel Horous goes back in time and distroys the status cell that is holding the 13th primarch. He realized all the chaos glory that could have come from his brother but he knew it would never come so he distoryed him.
It doesn't state that this is what officialy happend tho. There are also people who beleive that the Blood Ravens could have been the 13th or 2nd chapter due to their "Unknown Primarch". However, Games workshop has been hinting that their primarch is really a Known one and is Magus the Red, but who knows?

I have read many 40k novels and am working on my 2nd warhammer novel. The 40k's were really good no matter what author you chose. I read many of the omnibuses...Ultramarines was the most recent. As far as the single novels I have read the Horus Heresys, The Blood Angels, the Sons of Horus, and many more. If you have a question about one just let me know and I will tell you if I have read it and what I thought about it.

The first warhammer novel I read was I believe Chaos theory or something like that and it was really good. The one I am working on now is a warhammer omnibus and its called Blackhearts. Not to bad but not as exciting as the first Warhammer novel.

I LOVED the Gotrek & Felix Omnibus Series. I've read both 1 and 2, and enjoyed them imensely. It's to bad there isn't more of the G&F series out or I would read them. <3

I would recommend Lord of the Night and Storm of Iron for anyone looking for great Chaos related novels

I recently read the Black Hearts Omnibus. I got to say, it was surprisingly good. Thou, it is the only warhammer book that I ever read so far.

I've heard very good things about storm of iron. A new edition is coming out in the UK in May. Not sure when it'll arrive in the US but that book has been extremely hard to find. I also can't wait for McNeill's next Ultramarines novel Dead Sky Black Sun left me wanting more more more!

Did you catch Galaxy in Flames from the Horus heresy? It was excellent.
