All personal preferences, by if I was to suggest some books I would have to list:

> R.A. Salvatores - Dritzz series (can't remember how many but it's a bunch)
> Weis & Hickman - Dragonlance series (who doesn't love Raistlin)
> Terry Brooks - Shianara books

Those series alone are probably close to 30 books

Guy Gavriel Kay - Fionavar Tapestry (for strictly fantasy)

For any historical fantasy it's Kay all the way for me.

Mercedes Lackey - Valdemar series

David Gemmel - Drenai series

I have a lot more but I'd have to go through my fantasy library and take down names of series to put them here.

ANYTHING by David Gemmel is excellent. While I like Salvatore, and the Drizzt books are really good, I like Gemmel better. Dragonlance series is OK, but not near as good as the previous, too. But like I said, to me Gemmel tops the list.
Also, one stand-alone story from the Forgotten Realms, "The Wyvern's Spur" was very good, too.

R.A. Salvatore with the Drizzt Do'Urden series. Sadly, stopped reading due to lack of time though lol.

If you like 40k at all the black library has some really good books. The Horus hearsay is excellent.

I recommend Redemption of Althalus by David and Leah Eddings. Very good read imo.

The best fantasy that I've read in the last couple of years is "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George Martin. The first one is titled "A Game of Thrones".

Try it, you'll like it.
