Definitely in my "top five of all time" list.
It marks the beginning of all science fiction literature btw .....and it was by a woman at a time when women weren't supposed to write anything thought provoking or against religion or 'family values' etc....... You don't get better than a text that mixes Freudian theory, dead things and questions on reproduction and the scientific creation of life......all this in 1818. Very cool. Now go read The History of Sexuality by Foucault or Nineteen Eighty-Four by Orwell.

It was alright I was practically in a ap english at the time and my teacher the living hell out it... I sware i answered a question about the text for every single paragraph the story is a boring as board for the first half and doesnt really pick up till the last quarter, it was a good book but I much enjoyed Catcher in the Rye, Catch 22, One flew Over the coo coos nest, and heart of darkness better
reading paradise lost right now, I guess I started it because of Frankenstein lol
