greek mythology or Roman History
Thought I'd ask here before i pop over to the political forums I go to.
I need a good book on greek mythology and an informative but descriptive history of the Roman empire. I watched "Rome" rently and it has peeked my interst. -Celtic |

I can give you a book that looks into greek mythos and tries to put some realization into it. It's called "Where Troy Once Stood" by Iman Wilkins, I believe. It's pretty interesting and basically conjectures that the Odyssey and the Iliad were both in reference to Celts, and not Greeks.

Try Ovid's Metamorphoses. It's generally the most read piece giving all the transformations stories of the gods and goddesses. It's a Roman work but one of the main access points to Greek tales (as they are most times directly adapted to the Roman pantheon). There are tonnes of easy to read translations.
