No offense it just put me too sleep =P I bet it would have been better had it been written for English rather than translated from French but thats just my opinion

I really liked:
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch The Yiddish Policeman's Union by Michael Chabon I also second the recommendation of the Song of Fire and Ice series by George RR Martin. |

...failure beats the hell out of never trying
|
1) Anything Dean Koontz (Lightning and By The Light Of The Moon are my top two of his)
2) The DaVinci Code (Kicks the movie's butt, definitely a must read) 3) The Great Gatsby- I know it's a "classic" and thus automatically seems boring, but it's an awesome book. For a little more insight, hop online and find a bio of F. Scott Fitzgerald; it puts the context of the book into perspective. And it's not one of my absolute favorites, but for a quick rainy morning read, try The Giver by Lois Lowry. Last edited by Annyah; 04-13-2008 at 03:27 PM. |

Homeland (and the rest of the Drizzt books...yea, I know.......stop looking at me like that...I like his books, sue me :P ) Catch-22 (funniest book I have ever read) The Silmarillion
