Kushiel's Legacy

Anyone read the Kushiel Trilogies? They might be what A Song of Ice and Fire would be had GRR Martin been a born woman...

At first glance, these might look like harlequin novels; however, they are much more. Set in a fantastical land of beauty and grace, it is a story filled with swordplay, conspiracy, eroticism, love, adventure, and a dual for the crown.

They are a great pleasure to read, such great fun, such great sex.

The trilogies are written by Jacqueline Carey. I for one cannot wait until the last installment which is out in a month or two: Kushiel's Mercy.

Here is a link to the author's official site. Take a look!

I didn't like Dart so I didn't read the rest. I found the plot devices somewhat tedious. I admit to a definite bias in that I prefer a more military bent to a fantasy setting much more than a pain/pleasure, androgenous eroticism. I didn't like Storm Constatine's Wraethu either but you might like that if you enjoyed the Kusheil stuff.
