Pillars of the Earth
Anyone else read this book, right now its apparently in hot demand because of Opera I believe
I have been recommended it by many people... And they were VERY right :] Its an amazing story of medieval life so vivid I could hardly believe anything like it could ever be written... Its not much of fantasy as it is just about civilization and people Awesome book, if you can get your hands on it you must read it :O!

I completely agree, Showtime. The book is phenomenal. I was a little hesitant at first, but Follett really delivers. He is so vivid and detailed in his descriptions, and the plot makes you want to keep reading. Murder, corruption, and deception await around every corner. Highly recommended.
On another note, I've been hesistant to read the sequel, World Without End. The reviews I've read have stated it doesn't stack up to Pillars. I'm sure I'll give it a try at some point. |
