Thumbs up Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

So has anybody else read this book?

I read it just recently and it is rather refreshing compared to some of the other sci-fi I've been reading lately. I think Zaphod is one of my favorite characters, if only because he is so random. On the whole though it was a very good book and I recommend anybody who has not read the book to pick it up. I only paid $8 for my copy and it was money well spent for the laughs it gave me.

I did. It is a book that you will read more then once because it only gets better the next time it is read.

I also highly endorse the Hitchhiker's books. They put a fun, comedic spin on sci-fi. If you like Douglas Adams, I'd also recommend any of the numerous Discworld books by Terry Pratchett. They are to the fantasy genre what Hitchhiker's is to sci-fi.

I have probably read the Hitchhiker's series a dozen times over. It is a fun read and it is easy to pick up if you are just looking for something random to read to pass the time.

I would have to say that Marvin, The Paranoid Android is my favorite character.

Along the same feeling, I would recommend Good Omens by Neil Gaimon and Terry Pratchett. It a spectacular read. It is like Hitchhiker's Guide meets the Apocalypse

Classic, classic book. I fondly recall this novel giving me quite a few laughs. The radio shows aren't so bad either.

This book and its follow ups are funny and full of WTF moments. The last book kind of drug on though and the ending was meh but still a quality series.
