So has anybody else read this book?
I read it just recently and it is rather refreshing compared to some of the other sci-fi I've been reading lately. I think Zaphod is one of my favorite characters, if only because he is so random. On the whole though it was a very good book and I recommend anybody who has not read the book to pick it up. I only paid $8 for my copy and it was money well spent for the laughs it gave me.

I also highly endorse the Hitchhiker's books. They put a fun, comedic spin on sci-fi. If you like Douglas Adams, I'd also recommend any of the numerous Discworld books by Terry Pratchett. They are to the fantasy genre what Hitchhiker's is to sci-fi.

I have probably read the Hitchhiker's series a dozen times over. It is a fun read and it is easy to pick up if you are just looking for something random to read to pass the time.
I would have to say that Marvin, The Paranoid Android is my favorite character. Along the same feeling, I would recommend Good Omens by Neil Gaimon and Terry Pratchett. It a spectacular read. It is like Hitchhiker's Guide meets the Apocalypse
