Really good book, I finished it a few weeks ago. It's about a girl who is murdered in the first like 10 pages and she watches her family and the world react to her death from heaven. Definitely a must read pick it up. Its written by Alice Sebold

Yeah i heard about it. Peter Jackson is directing the movie adaptation.

i've never heard about it but then again i dont read to many books the only real good ones ive read are Ender's game and the halo books

Yeah, too girlish for me, getting to know what it is like being raped by some creepy guy from a girls point of view was not something that I ever wanted to find out.

And I felt pretty stupid reading it too, my teacher said it was good, so I picked it up. About halfway through the book I am told by a classmate, "You know that is a girls book right", and it was one of those 'you got to be kidding me' times, like I couldn't believe I didn't think of that earlier.

But to each his(her) own right?

I meant no offense, just repeating what was said to me.

I should have said... uh, too...., hm... crush based, because half the story followed her sister or friend, I don't remember, and it just wasn't my taste.

Like I said, to each their own.
