New PS3 info

Why do I hate Sony so much? Somewhere between EQ and SWG I found myself revelling in thier set backs. I don't even own a console, but I still feel compelled to link this article. Heh heh I need help....

That's why I prefer my games on the PC.

Thanks for the link. I'm really hoping that bad things happen to Sony with this one. If I upgrade my console, it'll be with a Wii (I feel funny just saying that) and a 360. SWG still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Someday I just might let the hate go, but not today.

Geez, I was thinking PS3 was going to be the "xbox" of this console round too. Coming out later, sacrificing market jump for better performance...how sad. But then again, at $600 most people I think would turn away anyhow. Bring on the Wii and sword fighting games!!

Sony Im laughting at you. What is this crap

Microsoft comes out with a ok console, but I think they have putted a little to low with memory in it. So good games like oblivion take ages to load, f.eks when you are going into a house you have to wait a min or something.

Nintendo, well nice consept. Like that they are trying out new controlls.
But, the console is not very powerful and I think you can be very tired in your arm when you have swinged thet controll around in one hour. And one last thing, why the hell did nintendo switch name to Wii, its... its... not a good name.

Liked Revolution much much much better

I personaly will give the console this ranking after what iv heard at this point.

1. Xbox360
2. Nintendo Wii
3. Playstation 3

I was going to wait to buy a ps3 instead of a 360, but this is the sort of thing that worried me. I'm glad I just bought my 360 and I keep feeling worse about the PS3. Karma is definately catching up with Sony.

Yet another anti-Sony post with no real basis (though I can definitely understand the Sony hate). AMong other things this article criticizes the Cell's inability to read from the RSX's memory at a high speed (though it refers to this as "local memory") which is a non-issue unless you have morons programming for it.

I am not saying the PS3 is perfect (600 BUCKS, come on 600 Bucks for the HDMI enabled version) but this article has more problems than solutions. It was posted on Slashdot (which is notorious for its Nintendo fanboyism and Sony hate) where the community tore it to shreads.

Ah well, I don't know enough about the architecture of these consoles to know whether the article was factual to be honest. Though before posting it, I did mention that I have some kind of issue with Sony whereas I unfairly revel in thier failures. So I am, sadly, extremely biased against Sony, especially the video game component of their company. I just don't think they should be profiting off of the way they do business sometimes. Personal issue...
