Road Trip Adventure!!

I am about to embark on my first bonavide serious adventure. Sure I have been to mexico, vegas and a few other fun places, but nothing with the far reaching consequence as what I am about to do.

In Eleven days I fly across the country to a little town called Philadelphia to pick up my girl, and drive back across the country to Washington. I know some of you are going to say "you are being an idiot". But I think I need an adventure like this.

The girl and I (I am hoping she gets involved in this game, she is a great RPer) have known each other for over two years now. We met in a little cantina in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine (Now if that does not sound creepy and geeky, I do not know what does). We have been long time friends since then, and we decided to meet in person.

At the Portland Airport in Oregon we met, and over the time we spent fell head over heels for each other (we had already had feelings before, but without knowing someone in person you should not jump into something like that). Subsequently a few months ago I flew to Philly to see her, and had a great time, though I do not think I could live in a back east city.

We are planning on a 4-5 day roadtrip over a span of 2700 miles, and have a blast doing it. That much time in a car with this woman I love, will most likely have some tender moments and probably some arguments (I am a leo, she is an aries, we both are stubborn), but we both love to debate.

Heh, from Philadelphia to Kennewick in 4 days...

Just proves you can always have an adventure.

Sounds like your going to have alot of fun! As for people ever asking how you two met, you can always say.. we fell in love in Dantooine. It's different, hehe.

LoL, your right Night that IS the geeky-ist thing i've ever heard

but at the same time i'm a little jealous that you've found a girl that shares your passions instead on giving you wierd looks when ever you log on to an MMO or break out the battle-map for some PnP.

sigh... but enough of my problems, enjoy your trip
Just promise to spend some of your free-time working on your character bio, I look forward to reading it when you get back.

Lol, I am not entirely certain which character I am going to play yet in AoC. I will probably find an online site to get a good grasp of the lore before I try to make something. Breaking lore and the canon world is one of my pet peeves, something I want to avoid.

Hey your coming to my neck of the woods... Philly! I live just outside Philly, lived around here my whole life... I'm definitely an east coast city type of person. In fact, I just flew into the Philly airport from Cincinatti last night on business. Nothing much I can tell you about flying into Philly... relatively speaking it is an easier airport to navigate. There's only one building, it's not a long walk, and they are very quick about getting luggage to baggage claim (Cincinatti was a nightmare to get through for various reasons). Philly takes thier security very seriously, but mainly that's when your coming on to a plane rather than coming off the plane. It can be a little longer getting on to a plane, but getting off of a plane in Philly is a breeze.

By the way, any questions on Conan lore let me know. I don't know all the books, but I've read most of the original Howard stuff... I love all the Hyborian lore, it's a neat game world.

I flew into Philly a few months ago to see my girl, and the city seemed kinda tired. Her place is near the U district and we spent some time down by the University. You guys did have one of the coolest ( and most expensive) theatres I ever went to, The Bridge. Great a idea to have a bar in the theatre, and sitting rooms. not sure about the vendor who is in the threatre rooms itself, waaaaay to much expensive.

I ate at a Cuban place down by Penn's landing (is that what it is called?) called Cuba Libre, it was awesome. And hit some bars in old town.

This will probably be the last time I will go to Philly in a long long time, she has no desire to go back (she does not like the city), and I can't afford it lol.
