Sony wont let Blu-ray fail.

They will use mind control and kidnapping/brainwashing if necessary.

Or they will spend a vast fortune to make sure it succeeds.

Thats why my vote is for Blu-ray.



HD-DVD is the "Linux" to Blu-Rays "Windows".

sony is smart to put blu ray in Ps3. when you think about it the ps3 should have cost alot more. cuz of the blu ray being 1000$

HD will win because people know what HD more than Blueray. If you go to some idot on the street and go whats blueray they will think of a fish lol

But does Sony have a 'vast fortune' anymore? With the company losing 250 dollars for every ps3 sold, and the fact that many of them have not sold, and the fact their laptop batteries are crap that catch fire causing them to have the largest product recall in the history of the world and causing them bad press, they're not rolling in money.

I think its to early to tell. Sure HdDvd has porn, but the reason taht was such a big thing in the 80s is because video was the only way to get porn movies. Now we have the internet, and dvd is going to be around for a bit longer, at least until the format wars are over. Meanwhile I think Blu-ray actually has more non-porn movie studios backing it.
