Whats all this talk about beta signs??

whats all this talk about people need to sign for a beta spot? If I heard correctly, members that had signed for the AoC Newsletter, with a forum membership before november 2005 are automatically have a spot in the beta? Can anyone confirm this?

AoC wants to have live players participating in the first stage beta during E3 in hopes to show REAL massive gameplay? I've been away for a while so can anyone verify this? btw april fools. how many people will read this part of the post. Closed beta on weekends only, preorders get fridays as well as weekends. I hope I can get me a slot!

Hmmm.. I'll probably considering pre-ordering later. But it always feels good to go to the store and just buy the game too.

I prefer just buying the game.. unless they plan on adding something nice for those who preorder.

perk most likely being an exclusive in-game item and probably very late entrance into the beta.

i don't generally pre-order games though and i have a feeling there will be a collector's edition complete with cloth map, conan loincloth, a be-headed pict, and your very own damsel in distress.*

*damsel in distress offer void in kentucky and canada.

I'll probably pre-order. Sometimes, being in beta isn't that great. Shadowbane crashed all the time at first. Parts of the SB beta I could have skipped. These guys do seem more on the ball, though...
