Seriously though. Maybe this isn't something that needs to be discussed. I really hate political discussions...

What's so anti-American about exposing problems with America's healthcare system in order to divert attention in order to improve it? Michael Moore does strike me as a pretty weird guy, but calling him a big, filthy pig isn't any sort of real insult. It doesn't address any of his arguments. I may not agree with all of his solutions, but I agree with him on what the issues are.

Personally, i think Moore trivializes the issues a little by using a comedic approach, when he should just stick to the hard facts, considering it's supposed to be a documentary. It's interesting though to see the difference in perspectives. I guess i'm just a dumb Canadian with an outside perspective who sees those that would support a medical system that would rather see you dead if you can't afford treatment, as being the anti-patriots. I've already posted this in the member's area, but I'll post it here too. My father has kidney cancer and has been taking a drug named Nexavar as his chemotherapy. The drug costs $5000 per month. There aren't many average families which can afford that. There's always bills, car notes, and groceries to pay for. If my mother didn't have very good state insurance, we'd be in debt from all of the hospital bills which are about as much as the drug per month.
