I think super mario for nes but I'm not sure. That came out in what 1985? I was born in 87 so I probably started around 4. I hung out with my brother a lot so he was mario I was luigi. When we moved onto sega he was sonic I was tail. And it just went on from there.
I think the first computer game I played was starcraft. |

the first video game i tried was SNES beethoven game(when I was 4). And the first I owned and played almost obsessively was Mario Kart 64, and of course I also played Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong64, Battle Tanks, Super Mario64, and Kirby. Then my best gaming experience was an all-night youth-group Halo party when the game was only 4-6 months old and I paid $7 to get in and won $12 during the randomized team 4v4 tournament, there was also free pizza and soda.
Well, that was basically my life story for the games I used to play before I was 13. |

Its so funny to read people saying their first game was something like diablo! I must be getting old.
I think my first game was probably something like Manic Miner on the Spectrum. That's my guess anyway. I think my favourite game on the spectrum was either Trapdoor or Werewolf in London. Other memorable games were Spy vs Spy, How to be a complete B**tard was pretty original. After the spectrum, we had a PC and played things like Populous and Simcity, Indy and the fate of atlantis, Loom etc. My first console was a Master System 2 with Alex Kid built in! I remember queueing for Sonic 2 to be released (although that mightve been after we had a megadrive)!
