Some idiots tried to jack our truck!!!

Ok before I start I want to state that I am a new york state armed security guard, I work the armored truck unit for a private company, I am semi trained in both japanese and brazilian juijitsu and I still practice arm locks and grabs on my off days when im not gaming

So me and my partner (no such thing as one guard in a armored truck, one is driving, the other is waiting to put a bullet in someone stupid) are driving on our way to walmart to do a pick up. its about 6 pm i get out of the truck first to survey the area, so i take a look around, try to spot any kind of possible threats. I spot these two guys in a plymouth barracuda, at the time he is parked in a stall about maybe 50 feet away. My partner goes to collect the money from walmart when we come outside, the barracuda is now within 15 feet and the two guys inside are no longer in the car. now i figured they might have went inside walmart to shop but i gotta stay on alert so i tell my partner to stay on his game.

so......we are loading up the truck with the money and one guy jumps on my partner and i grabbed the guy off him, it was a diversion so the other guy could grab a bag or two of money from the truck. the guy took off running with the bags, i put cuffs on the diversion and my partner pulls out a glock 38 and fires two into the runners back (we are using rubber bullets that day because the boss wants us to try "non lethal" rounds for the next 3 months because one of the other guards almost shot the wrong person when his truck got attacked)

the runner hits the ground, knocked out , partner runs up and grabs the bags, checks to see if the guy is alive, which he is we call the cops, let them know what happends and go about our business, now this happend about 3 days ago, today i find out the guy who got shot is suing us because we used "too much force" those were his words and is trying to bring up lawsuits against me and my partner and all i have to say to that was......

that motherfucker is lucky we didnt kill his ass, you lay your hands on something we are protecting we have the right to shoot you dead

I hate idiots like this that try and sue when they where clearly in the wrong. I think this gives a bad impresion to people saying heys its ok go rob a bank and if you dont get away with it sue for the cops using to much force. What a bunch of BS!!!

Do what you gotta do man. Nice job handling that btw. How much does protecting some money like that pay? Sounds like an awesome job.

in all honesty what happend that day is extremely rare, normally ppl are not dumb enough to try and jack a armored truck, most of the time its usually just boring pick ups and drop offs with the occasional intimidating look i give to people when they see my SIG SAUR P228 (i prefer revolvers but i like this gun)

armored trucks get hijacked in movies, rare in real life

This one sounds almost as bad as the burgular who fell through the roof of a house onto a knife, sued the family and won

or the lady who went into mcdonalds, bought a coffee.........took it back to her car, accidently spilled it on herself, and sued mcdonalds because the coffee was too hot and she was burned..............she ended up like 10 million dollars richer

LOl yea i wouldnt worry too much bout the law case it would never get through with a jury and i doubt a judge would be silly enough to pass it.

im not worried about it because we acted correctly, he tried to steal from us and he was shot...............really no other simple way to say it

just the thing is that im an extremely lazy individual if its not gaming, work, or my girlfriend, and i really dont wanna waste my time going to court
