Spending hours on something, then you lose it

Anyone ever spend a few hours on something, and could have sworn you saved it, but when the mighty blue screen of death hits and makes your computer restart, you notice that you can't find the saved file nor is it in your recent documents.

Sorta sucks lol.

Umm actually it recently happened when I was filling out my guild app here. I hit the back arrow and it went to the previous webpage and I had to redo everything

Happens to me all the time when I'm posting on a laptop or at school due to confined/shitty keyboards.

I remember writing 18 pages of a script assignment for one of my film classes. 8 hrs of solid work and I got a dam blue screen. Never saved my progress, learned a good lesson that day... I was so mad I just sat down and re-wrote it in 5.

Sort of happens to me... I email myself stuff as backup and forget to re-save the file to somewhere other than my temp directory... Freaks me out every time I can't find it... I just better do so before I shut down.

QFT.

That's why for giant papers, I save and email myself the work halfway through, because my computer crashed way more then it should.

how about tweaking forum settings for hours, just to realize you were constantly hitting "reset" button instead of "save".. lol, yeah, shit happens.

Had the same thing happen to me but it was half of my 20 page essay for the college English class. I think I almost throught my keyboard and computer out the window that day.
