Does anyone else see the mma related ads on the site? If so that is pretty cool. lol.
Anyway I'm here to break some news: July 19 Affliction will be putting on the greatest card of 2008, and possibly one of the greatest heavyweight cards outside of the PRIDE GPs. Highly reccomend this card to everyone interested in mma. Also on July 19, Anderson Silva will make his UFC debut at 205lbs against James Irvin, also debuting at 205lbs is Brandon Vera. Nothing else on the card is really news worthy.

Just wondering if anyone else was gonna watch the Ultimate Finale Saturday night on Spike? My favorite guy from the show managed to make it into the finale, Amir Sadollah, so you guys should root him on
 And another of my favorites, Dustin Hazelett, is fighting Josh Burkman. Dustin is a young guy who I think will have a good future in mma. Really solid jujitsu and fun to watch, and he is from Kentucky close to where I am, so that's a plus too. Need to get Mo in here with some predictions since his crystal ball was pretty accurate last time  EDIT: Eh, here are my predictions just for fun. It is a sad day for mma fans...
Quinton Jackson lost the LHW title in a decision I thought he won against Forrest Griffin. Besides that last nights UFC 86 card was probably the most boring thing I have ever watched. Glad I stopped paying for UFC cards. On a brighter note the best card of 2008 is only two weeks away!!!

Pretty good fight. Was rooting for Forest to win so I was glad by the final decision... But I honestly wasn't expecting to see it go five rounds with Rampage, though. Guy hits like a cannon.

Update time.
So a Forrest / Rampage rematch is in the works already, due to the close decision. Lyoto Machida or the winner of Liddell/Evans will be the likely next contenders in line for a title shot at 205. Japan News. July 21 will feature the final round of the DREAM lightweight grand prix (shown free on HD Net). Match-ups include: Shinya Aoki vs Caol Uno Tatsuya Kawajiri vs Eddie Alvarez Kid Yamamoto vs Joseph Benavidez Cro Cop will not be fighting on the card due to his opponents not accepting the bout against him. Instead he will recieve light knee surgery and his fight will be pushed back until an opponent can be found, most likely Alistar Overeem who had called out Cro Cop at DREAM 3 after his KO victory.
