Well, apparently I am doing a phone interview tomorrow with a lady that works for EA-Mythic

Still no clue IF I will move to Fairfax (cost of living difference is HUGE). But I will definantly do the interview.

well, of course. It is not an issue with me of the Mythic job vs this Dell one. The question is the cost of living difference. Fairfax is more expensive than I thought a place could be (joking) while Austin is dirt cheap (comparatively). One more thing to talk about during my week and a half off from work coming up.

Mechanicsville is pretty cheap I'm not sure how much Austin is but if you can spend the gas Fairfax is not that big of a drive from where I live.

Noted, I was using the pricing index online, and looking at some areas. Any suggestions would be great.... I'll take a look at mechanicsville tonight.

If anyone knows of good areas within a hour of Fairfax, Va lend some help. I am going to be looking over this in the next week. I would have to make a decision by probably August 1st or so,

Well it has been awhile since I have been to Fairfax but Prince William county is a good starting place. The area is ok I can't say for myself since I really don't get out of Hanover county but it pretty close and interstate 95 I believe goes right throught the County. The best advice I can give to try to stay away from most of the big cities. Those places are alway going to be on the pricey side or the area is just not one you want to be in.

hear are some of the place I have found from some of my co-workers

oakhill, springfield, dranesville, fairfax station I will see if any my friend know anything more.

Thanks Jeeves, I'll look over that over the course of the day today.

Edit: Whoever said fairfax Station needs to be laughed at: Cost of Living Index: 202 Median House price: 1.1 million
