The Different Symptoms of an Internet Shorthand Disorder

All right, so I can assume that we have been on the internet for a while. If you're like me, about 99% of the people you meet don't use correct Standard American English grammar. Now, if I'm Instant Messaging, or texting, then I can ignore it (I do it myself there). But if you're in a forum like this with an INFINITE amount of time to type up your thoughts, you should do it in a respectable format. Now, a few mistakes here or there is acceptable, but tlking liek dis is not. So, I'm going to go over the most annoying ways to talk on the internet. Seriously, it's a disease. Oftentimes ISD is linked to trollitis and flame syndrome. I will provide a Standard American English version for those statements that are undecipherable. Remember, most cases are not this extreme, so even if you see someone with minor, they have a serious disease known as ISD, or Internet Shorthand Disorder. It currently infects 99% of all internet users. It is curable, so I will drum up support to help fight ISD.

AVOID DOING THIS AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Standard American English version: No vowels man: He doesn't use vowels in a sentence. Also is rare because no one can understand him, and takes thought.

Standard American English version: Leet speak: Uses numbers instead of words. It gets really annoying.

Emprupur vuwol isuge: Isus Enpruper vuwols. Must uften riplecis "O's" wuth "U's".

Standard American English version: Improper vowel usage: Uses improper vowels. Most often replaces "O's" with "U's".

These are the symptoms of ISD. Many people think that there are more symptoms. In most cases, ISD has multiple symptoms, so that is what most internet shorthand is like. Please, spread the word: The more that know, the more that type correctly.

I actually take time with my texts and whatnot.

It bothers me to see bad e-grammar.

I usually type kinda fast with only using a few fingers (its how i learned). So at the worst ill misspell some words here and their, but i dont usually do short hand unless im mocking someone.

Fixed, sorta

Mistake 1:
"its"

Mistake 2: "se" < an "E" is a vowel, last time i looked it up at least

but yeah, i try to spell EVERYTHING even on skype/msn messaging correctly...no point trying to intentionally look like a retard

A few mistakes is acceptable... and I made a few mistakes. Hm... seems to be okay, I think.

What line of work would require you to use shorthand? I'm just curious.

being a paramedic. everything i write 90% is short handed like i dont write out
right arm pain i just write R ap. i dont write chief complant i write CC:
when i do iv i dont write out iv started in right arm i write iv r-ac-tko.
since i have more important matters to worry about and my notes are my report also mainly because medical short-handed is how everyone reads in the field anyways. like medical history is MX , u get it?
