Did anyone get a chance to head to E3 2006?

Just curious :P

I had my picture taken at the AoC booth in Conan's throne with the two gorgeous ladies, but they were all out of swords. >.<

I got to talk with 3 of the devs and talked with designers from SOE, Blizzard and a few others. It was like I was in Vegas, shows going on everywhere, amazing lighting, unbelievable projector setups, stages, contests, a million games, anything you could think of!

The new Metal Gear Solid trailer had an entire movie audience sittinga round the big screen watching. It was pretty tough just to walk by... it was really wild.

Anyways...

Anyone else?

That sounds like an awesome time... I'd love to go some day, but don't you have to be a member of the press or in the videogame industry to get a ticket?

and it is Access to the press ONLY until the weekend... then it was an open day but still had to buy the tickers which were over $100 lol

Well I don't know about all that, I do know that the show broke at 4:00 PM Friday.

But I work for an Events company :P I hooked up with some other events company guy and he had a spare ticket for E3...

hehe

I'll scan it in on one of these slow days.

It was friday so everything was dying down, and I only got one Conan girl for my picture instead of two >.<

Actually, that sword is riveted into teh ground :P It can sway left adn right but it's fastened to the stage.

Maybe next year :P (Maybe I'll actually finally get into the industry by then, so i don't have to borrow a pass form an associate :P
