College Majors?
My Dreams of Being a CHEF were SHATTERED! When i got a last moment acceptance into CSU ( Colorado State University )
I was wondering which majors are the most profitable? Im not going to choose my major based on the money that can be made otherwise id just be a doctor. I just wanna know which ones make the most to see if any i feel i will like are up on the list. Im not picky i can pretty much do anything and everything and enjoy it

lawyers with a good firm can make 70k right off the bat, if you become a partner you can make 100k or more. But lawyers have a lot of work hours.
Professors make a lot of money, find something you love to do get a masters and/or a doctrine, become a instructor 10 years down the line you become a professor and bam 65- 70+ a year.

if you love to sit and make lots of money building and/or designing stuff engineering is the way to go imho...but you had better be darn good at math
![]() i was going to college for electrical engineering but i just can not stand sitting for so long(i cant even play video games for two hours with out a break) so i went for criminal justice...my hope is to be be in corporate loss prevention...you make good darn good money but not what you can make in engineering edit: and remember that as you make more money...your free time usually goes down |

Being a doctor (many friends) or a lawyer (my sister) will make you some dough but it's a hard path and very long hours. IF you have the right skills you can be an author (my younger brother) and make some nice dough without needing a ton of education (as compared to a doctor).
But if you really want to make money you have to work money so I would look at being an investment banker of some type (hedge funds baby!).

Well... I can tell you what WON'T make you tons of money:
A bachelor's in biology. Or even a master's won't make you the $70k+ that engineers can make straight out of school. But I couldn't have majored in much of anything else, so... |
