Do you like WAR?

Simple poll. Scale of 1 which is the worst, to 10 which is the best. Also talk about the things you like and the things you don't like, such as pro's and con's and such.

EDIT: Please only give honest input, try to avoid the shiney new package mentality of something new, such as what some people did with Age of Conan, you know the.. "OMG THIS GAME ROCKS!!!!11" then proceeded to terminate their account a couple days later.

I was leaning towards 7 but I voted 8 because I have faith that Mythic will fix most of the bugs and make it a solid 8

I voted an 8 as well. If I was judging based on classes, I would give a 9 or 10. But the items seem to need a little work. When I played in beta, it seemed a lot of the items you get for the first few levels all look the same. I would get excited that I got an upgrade, just to find out that it looked identical to the old one, just a few stat point changes.

And I give it a 6 for terrain. I found terrain very annoying in a lot of parts, I'd find myself moving around half hte map just to get up a hill to a town. But I'm sure a lot of these things will be fixed as the game goes on.

I would have voted 10 (9 instead), but the removal of some of the classes at launch disappointed me. But, as far as the game goes, everything is solid (graphics, gameplay, etc.).

I have to say I give it an 8. For me the past week of beta was a refreshing experience that easily won me over pretty fast. For the first 15 min or so I was honestly a little dissapointed and lost but then after a few generic quests I started to really read the intros and started to laugh.

For example, one of the first greenskin quests has you opening barrels near a lake and killing the "disoriented dwarf" inside. I was like, "ok, that's not that funny." But a few ranks later i go to investigate a catapult and lo and behold, ITS A FREEKIN ORCAPULT. After landing on top of the huge dwarfish wall that had been on the far side of a lake i talk to the lone quest giving npc. The first quest he gives makes you destroy a few cannons...woop de doo. Then the second quest...this is the point that I laughed so hard my side hurt...this quest has you go out and beat up a dwarf and then run back to the edge of the wall, stuff him in a barrel, and push him of the ledge. Then i started doing something i never really do, reading the quest text and not just looking at the goals and rewards. With out any other spoilers there are a lot of really, really funny and well thought out quests that are linked with out being overtly so.

The things that made me unhappy could be resolved by PW, OB, or launch and are not even remotely as large or glaring as what I and probably many here who played saw in AoC. Having said that I would still play religiously and happily if they are not fixed.

Voted 8, because they have done things different than the solid mold of MMO's, BUT at the same time, I never forget while I am playing, it is still an MMO that hasn't done enough to completely break the mold, it has just put cracks in it.

I can't think of any real specific things right now, besides things I have already said in other posts. Once I can think of some solid examples, I will edit them.

I voted 7 because of a few things.

A. I took like as How much do you want to play/potential. WAR scored only mediocre on this for e Because from my perspective 2008-9 holiday season will be the best yet for my Vid gaming habits. With Spore,Fable 2, and Empire TW (I basically collect the TW series as I LOVE them), coming soon WAR isnt the top of the heap. However I see it with great potential for the future.

B. I dislike how seemingly close these devs have come to WoW. I know that its just a quick observation and I haven't played the game yet but from my view of Screenshots/vids...well yeah. This is part of the reason why I liked PotBS so much. It was a departure from the common WoW formula of elves, dwarves, and the higher rank usually wins in the end.

C. I believe I said this before but I think its another main reason for the 7. I haven't played the game. I hold no grudge over not getting accepted to the devs but Im not sure if I will like this games play style. I simply dont know.

These reasons held me back from me giving it an 8/9 but this may change after this weekend and I have a bit of time with the game (hopefully).

So... for now 7.

I said 9 because i quite frankly like everything about the game. Didn't give it a 10 because its not perfect, but then again what is?

8 for now, with the possibility to be a 9 by release if they address some minor missing content and get the tradeskills filled in. Potential 10 down the road after they get the minor kinks worked out and the missing cities added.
