Age Of Conan Boss Quits

Very interesting news from yesterday and for those of you too lazy to click links and read details, the summary is:

Funcom co-founder Gaute Godage quits because he was “dissatisfied” with Age of Conan

Now for a long time, I was an advocate for and defender of AoC but I was severely dissatisfied with it. There were loads of promises broken and massive amounts of content missing from the released game. It was such a shame too because I so wanted it to be good and for a while thought that it would be on par with and a serious contender with WAR. Well I haven't played WAR much yet but already it's 10 times the game AoC is.

Anyway, when a co-founder of the company leaves because he was disappointed with the game (and who knows what else behind the scenes), to me that just says everything about the game.

RIP AoC, I had such high hopes.

Ya, that's another blow to that game. It's not a very good sign for them.

Its a dying game. It was a shame. The game had promise and it failed to deliver.

Add it to the list that includeds Vanguard, Tabula Rasa, PotBS, etc, its so hard these days to find a good MMO, good thing Mythic waited on WAR and released a game with so many less bugs and much more content.

I really wanted aoc to succeed, it had alot of promise.
The question on my mind now is, will the xbox version of aoc be canceled?
