damn! WAR hasent even been out for a week, and it already has people spamming gold selling sites. Now look what i find on one of the ad banners!

After the success of WoW and all the Chinese gold farmers striking it "rich" I am not surprised these sites exist already.

I am curious to see what Mythic does about gold farmers since they said they were so furiously against it. They certainly wasted no time deactivating head start accounts, let's hope they are as vigorous when it comes to policing actual game exploit.

Gold farmers are annoying.... I hate recieving PMs from them. Would be nice if they would allows you to put a filter on the PMs you get like allowing you to block tells containing "www." or "$$$$" or "gold". Hell even in game if a guildie asks me for some money I'll probably ask to hear them asks for it on vent since more then couple of times I've had guildies got their account hacked and having them ask 4-5 different people in the guild to borrow money to get something they really needed "in wow mostly mounts" took a few players to talk to each other to actually figure it out that we got screwed. Don't asks me for money in PMs you won't probably get it unless you can really convince me it's you and not an hacker.

That said back to topic gold farmers are annoying like hell.

When I was talking to a CSR about another problem they said that they had fully half their staff just dealing with gold farming. That says a lot to me.

I didn't check but is there a fast way to report gold farmers in this game yet? Like people messaging you to go wherever buy their gold. Are you just suppose to start a new report?

This game was supposed to be released last Thanksgiving. Closed beta was very long im sure there will be more guides to come =).

I missed the message but apparently there is an area or zone or server wise message that gets displayed when Mythic catches or identifies a gold farmer somewhere along the lines of "so and so is being / has been publicly flogged for peddling their wares...etc...etc...etc" I was just logging into the game last night when some of the other guys were talking about it.

Yes there is a public message that pops up stating accounts banned for gold farming. It's funny they do it in an RP like manner too. It took me a sec to understand what had happend. I my self started getting PMs about gold farming every 30 or and hour from a particular char. After about the 6th time I put them on global ingnore and filed a bug report. It's great that Mythic is so harsh on gold farmers. Good for them it's about time someone does.
