Hail the Legion of Steel
Hail to the Legion of Steel
We of the Varangian Guard are pleased to be making our way over to this dynamic next generation MMO, and are looking forward to gaming with such fine Clans/Guilds as yourselves. Its been too long since the great many of our players have had the hooks of a game deep under the skin; SWG was a seminal game for its time, but the developers and the community had differing opinions on the best way forward. The game now appears to be well into its death throes, over a year after the mortal wound ( a testament to the value of the SW license and the commitment of a community to its fellows ) so far, all has proceeded past even wild expectations. May cant get here fast enough /salute LoS Diocletian

Heya Diocletian! Welcome to our little neck of the woods. Ya.. we all can't wait for Aoc to come out, hopefully it's going to be relatively soon!
I agree about SWG.. I was following it before release and was blinded by the SW lore. When I came around to playing it, it didn't last too long for me. It.. just didn't float right, so to speak. I believe if they went at it with a different approach it could have been much better. On another note, I feel the same about EQ2. It's a better game then SWG (IMO), but it still wasn't what I was looking for. I was hoping that it would be similar in difficulty and challenge to that of the original Everquest, but it just wasn't.. at least for me. Then Vanguard came around and it was supposed to be the "next Everquest" in challenge and such, but I believe they are trying to hard to cater to the masses and be the next big kid on the block. I think AoC offers it's own niche, and it might be a big niche for that matter, but it's doing something different and although it's very appealing to alot of people out there, they don't seem to be trying to get 110% of everyone under the sun. Ok, I'm starting to ramble lol. ![]()

Greetings. Everybody in here is looking forward to this game.
I, myself, can NOT see a class that I do NOT want to play, so if Funcom delivers, I´ll be playing this game for a while. See ya in the Border Kingdoms. ![]()
