Instance Possiblities
There are a ton of enemies that could be put into the game.
I was wondering what everyones guesses are, as to what will be the main Instance themes in the game. Might be fun to guess whats put into the final game. There are a few that are obvious, the more mainstream, well known enemies that will surely have an apperance in the game. Like Thoth-Anon will probably be the highest level instance, just because he is more "known" than most. Even though there is no proof, in the original stories, that he and Conan ever even met. Although it might even be the King of Turan that makes it to the top of the enemy list seeing as he was the most powerful king of the day. And he and Conan have a history. I would imagine the Tower of the Elephant will be in it as well. Its already a perfect instance without even tweaking it any. We are still not sure how the PVE system will be, if there will be typical 10-20 man, large instances. Since they havent released any info yet. I'd like to hear what everyone would like to see as instances, and what would make great stories for long quest lines that bring you into an instance. Please no 15 paragraph answers that make everyones eyes burn, thanks

They cant keep with the timeline perfectly or there will only be like 1 or 2 great enemies, if the game takes place after Conan has been king for a while. I'll bet 50 bucks that they will have enemies from his past in it. Just like Warcraft had tons of enemies that were supposed to be "dead" along time ago, yet for gaming purposes they were made into instances. Most games that have a "history", bring back old enemies because everyone wants to see those battles and relive them.

They've said that the story is based when conan is king, don't expect to do anything that conan has done himself and destroyed unless theres a cavern of time somewhere in evil god forsaken lands of hyboria. And as for the world of warcraft statement, name one person thats dead and ingame?

The whole Draenei race, there back story was totally re-written so they could be brought back into the world. There are many other discrepincies made for the World of Warcraft game, but I'd rather not turn this into a Warcraft debate. If they do not have any enemies from the past or at least a continuation of stories from the past (like so-and-so's son) in AoC, who will we fight? A bunch of new enemies they just "make up" for the game?

I can see 10-20 man instances be more like a battlefield with a main bad guy somewhere in the mix. I think it would be more fun that way.

It would be easy to make instances that are based on these stories even if the original characters are dead. There is still lore there to be put into the game and explored. They could even do instances like you guys were saying, involving 20 players where you have to join the Aesir to fight against the frost giants, which could be a large raid battle. It wont be the ones from Conans day because he slew them, but whose to say there are not others out there? This is what I'm talking about, taking the great enemies from the past and bringing them into the game. If there is nothing but "new" enemies/stories/characters and nothing linking to the past, there will be nothing in the game for the Conan fans. It will feel like a random MMO that looks kinda like Conan and has him in it. Like Warcraft.....Kel'Thuzzad = old enemy, Nefarian/Onyxia = Old enemies, Ragnaros = Really old enemy, Lots of old enemies from the past brought into the game so you can experience the history/lore of the Warcraft world. And now theyve even added "caverns of Time" to get a super heavy dose of past stories/enemies.
