Guild Wars

Just wondering, but does anyone currently play Guild Wars? If so, which one (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall)

I do very, very seldom ... when I have absolutely nothing else to do. The graphics are nice and I like the speed of combat, but overall the content is very shallow and I get bored with it very quickly. At least there's no monthly fee. ... :-\

I play it every once in a while, mostly on festival days though. I'm in a small guild with like five other people (Crusaders of the Twilight) but no one is ever on at the same time, and I don't feel like committing to a large PVP guild when AoC will be out after the summer and I have loyalties to the Legion. I'll probably play when Eye of the North comes out though.

I do own a copy but don't play it anymore. The lvl 20 gap and single player adventuring didn't do it for me

I had it for a while, it was fun but just kind of... boring, I guess, after a while. That, and I was never very good at it, but that's beside the point. I might take it up again a little while waiting for WAR to come out, now that I think of it.

Seem like alot of the people that quit GW quit because of the lack of PvE.

Remember, its "GUILD WARS" as in, player guilds..... warring...... yeah (I know, I'm such a smart cookie)

But seriously, it was and still is designed for the PvPer. I have not stopped playing GW since release. All I do is PvP and it is truly amazing at how balanced and clean theyve been able to keep the game. Not to mention all the campagins, professions and addition fo new skills that they constatly do, and all of the events that happen pretty much every weekend.

These devs KNOW how to make a game. They made it for PvPers, and alot of PvPers really really enjoy it.

I just hope in GW2 the retain the "instant PvP" character creation option.

I dont buy games to level up for 3 months JUST so I can START to tap into the real PvP (which is why I play online games)

But then again, that's just me. GW2 looks like it wil have some neat PvE features involved. And Eye of the North (the first real expansion pack) will have 150 PvE only skills.

I log every night ( at least i try to) In game name is "Seraphims Guardian" or "The Seraphim of War" or "Seraphim of Plague" or any other name with seraphim in it.

Look me up some time... I'm usually in Alliance Battles anf Fort Aspenwood.

Yea, the PVP is what makes Guild Wars nice to me. For me, PVP is the no.1 criteria. Guild Wars rock (as in Guild Battles), but Siege Battles are even better
