I just preordered this from Amazon Japan since its coming out on the 14th, itll be delievered to my door, how nice!

Yes its all in Japanese, but if you guys want some screenshots or a review let me know, I noticed there were some threads about the first monster hunter game that you guys play on PS2 and my kids here are constantly talking about playing Monster Hunter on PSP.

It was only like 30 bucks US so I figured I'll try it, my luck I'll get into it, and then they'll block US ip's when i get home.

I'd recommend the newest one on psp, the online community is the biggest of the series and probably the most thought out of the bunch. Its a great mmorpg concept but unfortunately capcom hasn't had the hardware on consoles to make it what the wanted. The ps3/x360 version is apparently going to be a more full thought out game, with great areas of landmass, more hunts and more weapons and armors to create.
Its a great game if you haven't played it, so enjoy.

Im surprised there isnt more interest in this game. I realize its pretty simple but I think the monster and gear designs are awesome, and this is a good game for a "well Ive got a quick hour or 30 mins lets play some monster hunter" maybe this will be a better hit on ps3 or 360 its still like 20 days till Frontier comes out so I dunno how this MMO version is gonna be.

Watch the closed beta videos on youtube lomi, it looks pretty good but i will wait for the 3 thrid game myself until i play again, my ds version is enough.

Well Monster Hunter Frontier Beta starts today. You can acctually download the client (500mb) from there website and setup an account at Daletto. There is only one catch, you need to have a Japanese Ip address to play. Currently they are banning all outside Ip addresses which I think is pretty lame.

So if you are in Japan or know how to make it look as though you are in Japan come play with me.

Oh yeah the game so far is free, you only buy time cards for Hunter Rank later on. I purchased so I got a free 30 day key, not sure where to order more play cards right now, but I'm betting Amazon Japan.

You have more time the open beta isn't going to start now till the 28th and actual service not until july 5th... while i'm in the states grr.

I think it'll work if you just put it in your Internet Options in the Control Panel. I've only used proxies for web browsing, so I'm not really sure how to get it to work with games.
