Well... I first wanted to be a Tank (I was a healer for 2 years and have always wanted one) But like everyone is saying, they are going to be sooo common... I think I am giogn to make a Magus (my 2nd choice) or a Choppa (my 3rd choice) I am going to wait and see if I get into this guild or not, and if I do then before I make my choice, I will choose based on the guilds needs.

My only hope is to have a damage dealing class, and by the looks of this game, just about anything I choose will help me there haha, gotta love it.

Since my buddy will be a Healer, I'll probably go a strong caster type so we can grab a quick tank and be rollin' around as a based triangle.

Not if they make the XP/kill thing like any mob in PvE. In which case, just being in the party/raid would net XP if close enough to the felled player/mob.

So I don't think it would be ridiculous by any means to get XP for "just healing".

I almost think they let them have stronger offensive powers in WAR for soloability. I would hate being a healer who got caught up with a Hammerer, and not be able to at least stand a chance.

Well, that is part of the reason, but they are encouraging still being a damage-dealing class because it improves the effectiveness of your healing spells; i.e. warrior priests with righteous fury and goblin shamans with WAAAGH!!! power. They don't want people to just stand back and be healbots and to me it's a perfect way of doing just that.

yeah, the exp from PvP aspect is really cool. I'm hoping to actually be able to level up using PvP.

as for the class, im probably going to go for the DPS class for the DE's. But if there is not a good one, im going to be a squig hearder or a Choppa.

i was thinking about soloing when i made the ridiculous comment, wasn't even thinking about being in a group for pvp.
And i think your right Heme, they probably are making each class able to have some ability to solo.

Oh yeah. I don't think someone can just walk around solo, tossing heals on random people and getting XP. I can see that from your point of view though.

I've actually been looking at the shaman since I first saw the class discription so chances are that I will be rolling as that. I also love healing in most games in general but I love the twist they put on it for the shaman. Having to be offensive to up my healing is just such an awesome concept that I don't think that I'll pass it up. That and with Motronic (friend of mine from WoW) we can form a pretty awesome team as a choppa and a shaman. All we need is a tank and we're pretty much ready to rock.
