I think the game is very well done, but bland. All there is to do is grind gear, but they give you several different methods of doing so. If the game had more reason to pvp (at least for me) I might still be playing it. I was just tired of grinding pvp gear. If you could conquer land and knock the other people out of position, and conquering the land gave you benefits and other stuff then I think it would be a bit more fun.

Agreed. I played for 3 years, had 4 70's, and the 5th was gettin close. I quit raiding once I got bored with a sudden drop of progression (ppl just went complacent and waited for the attunements to be lifted for BL and MH at this point) and thats when I accumilated the extra 70's.

WAR's North American Beta counter already has 1/3 of WoW's player base for the same area, and thats only ppl tryin to get into closed beta and beta acct's with their open beta codes submitted. Also, the game sites that sell the actual games have lists of popular selling titles, and WAR is beating the crap outta WotLK.

I can't help but believe WAR will be the WoW killer. (and Im pullin for WAR anyway =P )

eh, it's neat, but in the end was very boring. I couldn't take anymore. The pvp was a horrific grind that meant nothing other than a means to get gear. With no emphasis on development of new bg's or any kind of worthwhile world pvp it just died for me. Raiding was cute for a while, but working nights made it very difficult to meet demanding schedules.

I don't think any single game will be the great "WoW kiler", but more a series of well made mmo's. I'm just hopeing war will be the front runner.

WoW won't end, period. Even if it die, Blizzard's secret next gen MMO would take its place.

yea i gotta agree. The only thing that really has a chance at bringing down WoW is WoW2. Theres just way too many fan boys and girls, and those seeking instant gratification that love wow for its simplicity and easily attainable goals. Not to mention those adorable gnomes.

Find out soon enough...

I have a detailed theory on that.
WAR realeases, 10% drop in active WoW accounts.. wrath of the lich kings comes out just in time to stop WoW drop from getting worse.. 2 months go by and they get the usual 10-15% loss for an expansion because people don't wanna spend a year getting new gear again, cause theirs is replaced by greens off trash mobs... couple months later everyone starts to realize WOTLK is the same old wow with a new area, WAR sky rockets, and we all have cake & ice cream.
