The fact that it is way to easy to get good gear just dumbs down the game. Now in its current state wow is all about the stun locks and the one hit KO. I can only hope that WAR is not like this.
With the level 80 cap, 1/2 shots will be possible

WOW was on the line with Warcraft 3 .... when they started making em ... i was like 14 when i first looked at the WOW site back in the day then i was 17 beta testing the game ... and now im 20 so i guess really the MMO is a good one just like every other MMO out there ..... AOC just looks like a new fresh idea that has to be looked at ....

I wish they didn't push back the release date of AoC, but whatever, as long as it comes out great

I'm pretty sure that wow will always have a fan base, and will continue untill they drop the servers entirely which will be a very very long time.

True. EQ didn't have near the fan base WoW does/did have, but it is still going (although it will be permanently going any day now). And it doesn't really matter how much money it has pulled in, it matters what they do with the money. If they don't use it to make quality content and/or expansions for WoW, its decline will be that much quicker.

dont think it'll fall, ppl has spent too much money, blood, familes, relationships, their entire lives (some actually have given their life) for that game.

eventually it'll end up limping, but not entirely dead, heck look at Ultima Online, first GUI mmo, came out what? mid 90's? and it's still up and limping.

Hit the nail on the head there.

In the past few months alot of the 'veteran' wow players have been leaving due to pure dissapointment with BC's inability to introduce something really new, people who did all the pre BC raids got screwed, arena is the new pvp and honestly i prefer BG's but unfortunately that gear sucks now. The eternal WoW problem got even worse, purples>all the skill in the skill in the world.
