CAPTAIN CAPS LOCK

No one game will really kill WoW. WoW is full of people who are first time MMOers and those people will stay with that game for a long time. Also, the most casual players still prolly have a lot left to do, not everyone is farming BT. WoW will eventually get worn down and higher quality MMOs come out, new graphics better gameplay etc. IMO the thing that killed WoW is devs trying to appeal to both PvPers and PvEers. They kept making class changes for ever PvP or PvE, but a nerf to the PvP side of a class may end up killing its PvE side if you get what im saying. They really should have sticked to making a PvP or PvE game.

Killed to Death

Who know's, it's still got a solid fanbase and I'm pretty sure it will have a solid fanbase for at least a couple more years. WoW's really become a fad IMO, you know.. your friends play it so then so should you. BC is really what killed it for me, sure I had some fun when I played it.. but it just felt like there wasn't anything really new. I didn't play endgame in BC though, but from what I've read it's all just the same thing but a new place anyhow.
One reason why I really want to play WAR, the PvP is always there to keep me occupied.

I think the Asian market will keep it aloft against any WoW-killers. It cannot stay as successful as it is right now, but it will likely be a source of revenue for Blizzard for another 5 years at least. I haven't played it in quite awhile now and have no interest in it anymore, but I still don't see it dying completely out in the foreseeable future...

I never underestimate Blizzard nuts so it'll last for a good amount of time. But let's face it, WoW will only be 'killed' by one other game.... WoW 2.

I'm pretty sure WOW2 is the first sign of the End of Days. Well next to Jessica Alba asking me if we can get married.

Naw, WOW will live on or WOW2. People will be crying just like everywhere about how they deserve to be in beta. WAR or AOC is just like any other game that comes out. I remember the pre-beta days of D&D Online, the same things were being said about other mmorpgs. EQ is still breathing. WAR and AOC are only as good as the next mmorpg that follows them. I think WAR, like DAOC will have a great run only because of opposition conflicts.
