MMORPG Game Killers - I hate...

I hate... sitting on my arse to heal so I can continue my play. To me this is a waste of my time. Who the hell wants to sit for 2 minutes before being able to play. It's like a damn commercial between kills. DAOC had a very good recovery system, that's a plus if it carrysover to WAR.

I hate getting a camp where a named for a quest pops, I sit there waiting for 30mins, no one around, and when it pops a group out of nowhere kills it...or right when it pops I get aggro, and then someone comes in kills it and leaves...

At lower levels at least people have said that recovery is pretty quick out of combat and fairly slow in-combat. I'm sure that Mythic is aware of this problem.

I hate getting to a high level, and still having boars as a major threat. The size and badassness of mobs should scale with their difficulty.

Heh, you would never have played EQ as a caster in the old days. First toon was a wizard. Nuke down a couple of mobs, go find a relatively safe spot to meditate (mana recovery required sitting which also originally required you to see nothing but your spell book pages prior to level 31, you could not even see the environment around you), then go fix a sandwich, grab some chips, watch some T.V., come back 6 minutes later to find mana bar almost full. Mana recovery/H.P. recovery were both horrible. Part of their mechanic to slow down progress to keep those subscription fees rolling in every month. Don't even get me started on hell levels....

LOL you're right, I played a pally and a warrior in EQ and was what I was thinking of when I wrote that.

I hate... low level aggro. If there is no chance of it killing me, it should be running the other way. EQ2 did a good job on low level aggro, I guess WOW was okay too.

Yes, I was glad to see they removed that "feature" from EQ2. Was annoying to go sit a level 28 wizard in a "safe" spot to med and come back 10 minutes later to see mana bar had barely budged and level 2 orc pawn text spam of,
"An orc pawn swings at you and misses."
"An orc pawn pierces you for 1 point of damage."
"An orc pawn swings at you and misses."
"An orc pawn swings at you and misses."
"An orc pawn pierces you for 2 points of damage."
"An orc pawn swings at you and misses."
etc..

Of course it did have the classic,
"A grass snake kicks you for 3 points of damage."

I hate quests that are like

Go talk to jim
Go talk to steve (on the other side of the world)
Go talk to jim again *sigh*
Go give this stick to steve *WTF*
Go give this back to Max...who is futher away than Jim *SON OF A*
Give this piece of paper to Steve */wrists*

What is the point of those quests? seriously.
