So I kind of forgot that was coming out and I stumbled upon the wiki article today.

Thankfully it's probably not going to be released until '09, but... yeah.

It would be a nice addition for people playing guild wars. For me however it won't matter, I'll be playing WAR

Guild wars got boring for me FAST. I don't think i'd bother going back to it =/

I love Guild Wars PvP....But thats about it...I'll be sticking with WAR though.

Aye, it indeed got boring for me as well. Nightfall ruined the whole game, Prophecies was and still is the best IMO.

I enjoyed the strategy behind only being allowed 8 skills on your bar and then choosing how deeply you wanted to invest skill points into your 7 categories of skills. It lent a certain strategy to PvP battles that could be entirely hit or miss depending on your build and depending on your opponents build, something I enjoyed thoroughly after playing World of Warcraft and having people spam rank 3 fireball spells. i always thought the concept of people having to use lower ranked spells because they were more 'efficient' was something of a ludicrous concept, I mean if they are so efficient why didn't Blizzard forsee that? Or why didn't they just make spells automatically gain power based on level like so many other MMO's do now a days?

Arg...I'm gonna stop typing now...I'm ranting at Blizzard again, and that ain't gonna do any good. :/

IMHO... they need to work on the economy for GW...

While that is true...
I got the game a little after Fluffy did, that's how it usually works with us. He get a game he really likes, I just watch him play it for a while. When I finally decide I like it and buy it, he is on the other end of it and is bored with it. However, in this case, he managed to drag my PARENTS into the game. Seriously, for the past two years, it is ALL they do once they get home from work. Every time I call home to see what's up, they are on a mission....

It's sort of sad...

According to the article, they are fixing everything about GW I hated, the lack of free-roaming, only human races, and NO JUMPING WHILE RUNNING! Ugh! That was my biggest pet peeve, if I can't jump in the air and twirl, I get agitated while running by myself.

If only WAR wasn't coming out already, I would of picked this up, too.

I agree with Speedy...its looking to be a good game...but its coming out at the wrong time...its being TOTALLY overshadowed by AoC and WAR. Their biggest target is going to be the people who have played and quit GW 1, but these people are already going to be busy with other games, so I don't expect it will have quite the same popularity as the first one did when it came out. That said, the no monthly fee thing is nice...until the $50 expansion comes out a year later.
